Order Status History

See every status update your lab has sent for an order, from submission to shipping.

Every order on SpecCheck keeps a step-by-step history of its progress through your lab, so you always know where a job stands without calling the lab.

Find an Order's Status History

  1. Click Orders in the left sidebar.

  2. Click the order to open its Order Details page.

  3. Scroll to the Order History card on the right.

Reading the Order History

  • Submitted By, Last Updated, and Submitted On – Who submitted the order, when your lab last updated it, and when it was submitted.

  • Timeline – Each status update from your lab, with its date and time. The newest update is at the top and marked Latest Update. The first entry, Order Submitted, is at the bottom.

  • View All Updates – If an order has more than four updates, click View All Updates to see the full history.

  • Order Shipped 🎉 – Shown once your lab marks the order as shipped. Its tracking number then appears in the Overview card (Shipment Tracking).

About Status Names

Status names come directly from your lab's system, so they vary from lab to lab (for example, In Process, Surface, Coating, Inspection, or Frame To Come). If you're not sure what a status means, reach out to your lab partner.

A Pending status means the order hasn't reached your lab yet, for example while it's waiting out your order delay window.

Free vs. Pro

Status history is included on every plan for orders submitted through SpecCheck. With SpecCheck Pro, you also get status history for orders placed outside SpecCheck, such as by phone, fax, VisionWeb, or Eyefinity (learn more).

To upgrade at any time, click Start Pro Trial (or Upgrade to Pro if your trial has been used) in the left sidebar, or go to Settings → Plans & Billing.

FAQ

Q: An order's status hasn't changed in a while. What should I do?

A: SpecCheck shows the updates your lab sends. If a status looks stuck, check with your lab partner. You can also turn on Flagged Orders to be alerted when an order sits in one status too long.
