Remove a Lab Partner (Delete Lab Workspace)

Permanently remove a lab partner from one of your practice locations.

If your practice no longer works with a lab partner, an Administrator can remove that lab from the location. This is called deleting the lab workspace.

⚠️ This can't be undone. Deleting a lab workspace permanently deletes that lab and all of its data (including orders) from this location in SpecCheck. Your other labs and locations aren't affected.

Delete a Lab Workspace

  1. In the top bar, make sure the location and lab you want to remove are selected. If you work with more than one lab, click your practice name and use Switch Lab (learn more).

  2. Click Settings in the left sidebar.

  3. Scroll to Danger Zone at the bottom and click Delete Lab Workspace.

  4. Review the warning, type DELETE in the box, then click Delete Lab Workspace.

You'll see a confirmation, and SpecCheck reloads automatically after a few seconds.

FAQ

Q: I don't see the Danger Zone section.

A: Only Administrators can delete a lab workspace. Ask an Administrator at your practice (learn more about user roles).

Q: What happens to my Lab Pay autopay with that lab?

A: Everything connected to that lab, including Lab Pay autopay and saved payment settings, is deleted and deactivated. If you add the lab back later, you'll need to set up autopay again (learn more).

Q: What happens to my Rewards points?

A: SpecCheck Rewards points are shared and collected across all of the labs you work with, not stored by lab, so they stay with you in your Rewards balance (learn more).

Q: Can I add the lab back later?

A: Yes. Click your practice name in the top bar and choose Add Lab (learn more). Data deleted with the workspace won't come back.

Q: Is there a way to merge duplicate locations instead?
