Using Lab Live Chat

Message your lab's customer service team directly from your SpecCheck dashboard.

If your lab partner offers Live Chat, you can message their customer service team right from SpecCheck. No phone calls or hold music!

Open Live Chat

Click Lab Live Chat at the bottom of the left sidebar, or click the chat bubble in the lower-right corner of your dashboard. Both open your lab's Live Chat. The badge shows how many unread messages you have.

The Home Screen

  • Announcement – Important updates from your lab, like holiday hours.

  • Recent message – Jump back into your latest conversation.

  • Send us a message – Start a new conversation.

  • Office hours – When your lab's team is available, and whether they're available now. If you message after hours, your lab may reply the next business day.

  • Links – Helpful resources from your lab, like FAQs or Print A Shipping Label.

View Your Conversations

Click Messages at the bottom of the chat window to see all of your conversations. Your lab can also start a chat with you, for example about an order that needs attention. You'll get a notification in your dashboard and by email.

When a Conversation Ends

When your lab's team closes a conversation, you may be asked to rate your experience. Your feedback helps your lab improve its service.

Some questions are handled by an automated chat flow. If the automated flow resolves your question on its own, the chat closes with a message that it was resolved, and no rating is requested. If the flow connects you with someone on your lab's team, you may be asked to rate your experience once they close the conversation.

How Your Lab Sees You

Your lab sees the profile name and picture from Settings → Personal Details. Learn how to update them.

Don't see Lab Live Chat? Your lab may not offer it yet. Please contact your lab partner directly.

Please Note: Lab Live Chat connects you with your lab, not SpecCheck. To reach the SpecCheck support team, email [email protected].
