Your Shared Stock Lens Cart

Your stock lens cart is shared across everyone in your office. Here's how it works and what the "cart has been modified" message means.

One cart for your whole office

Your stock lens shopping cart is shared by every user at your office. When a team member adds, edits, or removes lenses, everyone sees the same cart. This lets your team build one consolidated order throughout the day instead of placing several small ones.

Viewing your cart

Click Cart in the left-hand menu (the purple badge shows how many lenses are in it), or click Review Cart from the Browse Lenses page.

If your cart total is under $30, a blue banner lets you know that a $15 small cart fee will be added to your order at checkout.

At the top of the cart you'll see the total number of lenses, the cart total, and the Proceed to Checkout button. Lenses are grouped by reference name (your patient or job), with inventory lenses grouped under Inventory. Each group row shows its products, powers, number of lenses, and subtotal. See Reference Orders vs. Inventory Orders.

  • Click the arrow next to a group to expand it and see every product and power.

  • Click the expand/collapse button next to the search bar to open or close every group at once.

  • Use the search bar to find lenses by customer, product, or prescription.

Changing quantities or removing lenses

Expand a group to see each power with its unit price and the Qty Available. Use the plus and minus buttons to change the quantity. The plus button stops at the quantity available. When a quantity is 1, the minus button becomes a trash can. Click it to remove that power from the cart.

To remove a whole group (for example, everything for one patient) at once, click the red trash can on the group's row.

To add more lenses to your cart, click Browse Lenses. See How to Order Stock Lenses.

Order Breakdown

Click Order Breakdown to open a snapshot of your whole cart grouped by product and power instead of by patient. It shows the total quantity of each product, the quantity of each power, and how many are available. This is a quick way to double-check totals before you check out. You can also check out from this panel.

"Your cart has been modified, please check your cart and try again"

This message appears if a teammate changes the cart while you're checking out. It's a safety check so nothing is ordered that you haven't seen. Review the cart, confirm everything looks right, and check out again.

Tips for teams

  • Agree on who submits the cart each day so orders go out before the same-day cutoff (1:00 p.m. Pacific Time). See Checking Out and Order Cutoff Times.

  • Use clear reference names so everyone can tell which lenses belong to which patient.
