How the grid is laid out
The Lens Ordering Grid shows every power for the lens you selected. The lens description (manufacturer, vision type, material, coating, color, lens type, and diameter) and the estimated price per unit appear at the top. To open the grid, follow the steps in How to Order Stock Lenses.
Sphere power runs down the left side and cylinder power runs across the top. Find the row and column that match your prescription, then click the cell where they meet. The row and column headers stay in place as you scroll, and they're highlighted for whichever cell you're pointing at. On smaller screens, scroll sideways inside the grid to see more cylinder powers.
What the colors mean
A legend at the top of the grid explains each stock level:
High Stock (green): plenty of this power is available.
Low Stock (yellow): this power is available, but quantities are limited. Order soon if you need it.
No Stock (crossed-out cell): this power is normally carried but is currently out of stock.
Not Available (blank cell): this power isn't offered for this lens.
When you select a power, the ordering panel on the right shows the exact power (SPH / CYL), the quantity available, and the price per unit. Once you add a quantity, that number appears inside the cell so you can see everything you've selected at a glance.
A small dark triangle in the corner of a cell means that power is already in your cart. Hover over the cell to see how many inventory and reference lenses of that power you've added.
Accessibility
The grid colors and legend were designed and tested to remain distinguishable for users with common types of color vision deficiency. If anyone in your office has trouble reading the grid, please contact us at [email protected] or via live chat.
Ordering different powers for each eye
If your patient needs a different power for each eye, click both cells in the grid within the same Reference Order. Both powers are grouped under the patient's reference name in your cart. See Reference Orders vs. Inventory Orders.
Why can't I select a power?
Cells marked No Stock or Not Available can't be ordered. Stock levels update throughout the day, so a power that's out of stock now may be available later. If you need a power that's unavailable, contact your lab about a surfaced (Rx) lens instead.
