What Is a Lens Package?

A Lens Package is a pre-configured set of lens specifications you can apply during order entry. Each package includes:

  • Package Name – A name to identify it (e.g., "Kids Package").

  • Description – A short reminder of what's included (up to 250 characters).

  • Vision Type – Single Vision or Multifocal.

  • Lens Style and Lens Material (required).

  • Lens Add-Ons and Services (optional).

Adding services to a package helps ensure correct billing when your lab offers promotional or bundled pricing.

Creating a Lens Package

From Settings

  1. Go to Settings → Rx Orders.

  2. Select the Lens Packages tab.

  3. Click Create Lens Package.

  4. Fill in the package details and click Save.

During Order Entry

In the Lens Configuration section of a new order, click Create a Package to save the lens options you've selected as a reusable package.

Packages are lab-specific, meaning they only apply to the lab account where they were created.

Using Lens Packages During Order Entry

  • Lens Packages appear as selectable cards in the Lens Configuration section.

  • Only packages that match the order's Vision Type (SV vs. MF) are shown.

  • Up to two packages are displayed at a time. Select See All to view more.

  • All fields stay editable after you apply a package.

If a package includes an option your lab no longer offers, SpecCheck applies as much of the package as possible and shows a warning letting you know which settings couldn't be applied.

Managing Lens Packages

Go to Settings → Rx Orders → Lens Packages to:

  • Search your packages by name.

  • Edit a package by clicking its card.

  • Delete a package by clicking the trash icon.

Each card shows when the package was last updated. Changes take effect immediately for future orders!
