No payment at checkout
You don't pay when you submit a stock lens order. Instead, your stock lens orders are combined into itemized statements that you pay from the Payments page. See Checking Out and Order Cutoff Times.
When will I get my statement?
After each billing period closes, you'll receive an email letting you know your stock lens statement is ready in SpecCheck. The statement lists every order and charge for the period.
The Payments page
Click Payments in the left-hand menu.
If your office doesn't have a payment method on file yet, a blue banner at the top of the Payments page lets you know you can't make a payment or set up autopay until you add one. Click Add Payment Method in the banner to add one. When nothing is due, the Overview card shows Payment Not Required.
The Overview card at the top shows:
Your current statement amount and due date.
Your Outstanding Balance, marked Overdue in red if it's past due.
Your Autopay Payment Method, Autopay Date, and who last updated them.
The Make Payment button and a More menu with View Statement and Add Payment Method.
Viewing your statements
The Statements table lists each statement with its billing period, status (Paid or Overdue), amount (including the remaining balance if it's partly paid), and due date. Use the search bar to find a statement.
Click a statement row to expand it and see the payments made toward it, including the payment method, status, amount, who paid, and when.
Click the ... button in the Actions column and choose View Statement to open a printable statement listing each order and its amount, or Pay Statement to pay it. On smaller screens you may need to scroll the table sideways to see the Actions column.
Making a payment
Click Make Payment on the Payments page (or in the red overdue banner), or choose Pay Statement for a specific statement.
Choose a Payment Method, or click Add New Payment Method.
Check the Amount to Charge. It's filled in with your outstanding balance.
Click Make Payment.
Setting up autopay
Turn on the Autopay toggle in the Overview card to have your full statement balance charged automatically. To change the settings, click the pencil icon next to the Autopay Payment Method or Autopay Date. In the Autopay Setting window, choose the payment method and the day of the month to charge (the Start Date), then click Save.
If you already have an open statement when you turn on autopay, SpecCheck will show when autopay first runs. Pay any statement due before that date manually to avoid interruptions.
Managing payment methods
Your saved cards and bank accounts are listed under Payment Methods at the bottom of the Payments page, with their status and expiration dates. To add one, click Add Payment Method. You'll be taken to a secure page powered by Stripe, where you can save a card or a US bank account. To remove a payment method, click the ... button in its row and choose Delete Payment Method.
Who am I paying?
The Make Payment window shows who your payment is payable to, and each statement lists who to contact with billing questions. If this changes, we'll let you know well in advance.
Is this on my regular lab statement?
No. Stock lens statements are separate from any lab statement you receive for prescription orders.
Who can make payments?
Only users with billing permissions for your office can make payments. If you don't have billing permissions, you'll see a banner asking you to contact your office's billing user.
Unpaid and overdue statements
If your office has an unpaid statement, a blue banner appears in the Stock Lens Portal as a reminder. If a statement becomes overdue, the banner turns red: "Your account has overdue statements. Please pay them to continue placing new orders." You can still browse lenses and add them to your cart, but Proceed to Checkout is locked until the overdue balance is paid. Click Make Payment in the banner to pay. See Checking Out and Order Cutoff Times.
What if my payment fails?
If a payment fails, we'll email your billing contact. Log in to SpecCheck, update your payment method on the Payments page, and complete the payment so future orders aren't blocked.
