Beginning August 1, 2026, we're making important updates to our Free and Pro plans to better align with that vision. We're opening up some of our most powerful, previously paywalled tools to all users submitting orders through SpecCheck. At the same time, we are evolving the value of Pro for practices that rely on SpecCheck to also manage orders submitted outside of our platform.
What's Changing?

If your practice submits orders through SpecCheck, we want you to have the best experience possible. With this change, we're making several of our most valuable tools available for all users on every order submitted through SpecCheck, regardless of whether you're on the Free or Pro plan.
These features reduce repetitive data entry, eliminate unnecessary clicks, and make submitting Rx orders faster, easier, and more efficient than ever before. With this change, the following features will be available for all SpecCheck orders:
My Frames - Build, manage, and create orders using your own frame inventory, directly in SpecCheck.
Flagged Orders - Get notified when an order is delayed or needs special attention, automatically.
Unlimited Lens Packages - Save commonly ordered lens combinations so you can apply them to new orders with a single click.
Unlimited Starred Orders - Receive email updates when starred orders move through different statuses of production.
Customizable Delayed Orders - Set a grace period to edit or cancel orders, before they're officially sent to the lab.
We believe the tools that make submitting orders through SpecCheck fast, accurate, and effortless should be available to every practice that chooses to submit through our platform - not reserved behind a paywall.
π Visibility Into All Orders Is Now on Pro
As we make the order submission experience dramatically better for practices that submit through SpecCheck, we're also evolving the value of our Pro plan. With this update, Free plan users will only be able to view orders submitted through SpecCheck. If your practice wants to maintain a holistic view of all Rx orders, including those submitted outside of SpecCheck, you'll need to upgrade to Pro.

This creates a clear distinction between our plans. Practices that submit through SpecCheck receive the fastest, easiest, and most feature-rich ordering experience, while practices that also submit orders outside of SpecCheck can use Pro to maintain a complete view of all of their Rx orders.

1. When do these plan updates officially go live?
These changes take effect on August 1, 2026 for all users.
2. Can I switch between plans?
Absolutely. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time from the Settings > Plans & Billing section of your dashboard. Learn more about upgrading and downgrading here.
3. I am a current SpecCheck Pro subscriber. Do I need to do anything?
No, no action is required on your part. You will retain access to your entire premium toolkit.
4. What are the changes coming to Advanced Practice Reporting?
We are shifting our analytics structure to focus on native platform metrics:
Current Pro Users: If you are currently subscribed to SpecCheck Pro prior to August 1, 2026, you will be fully grandfathered into your legacy reporting setup. You will maintain complete data insights for all orders (both SpecCheck and external).
New Pro Users: Practices that upgrade to Pro on or after August 1, 2026, will exclusively have reporting data generated for orders submitted directly through the SpecCheck platform.
5. Is there a free trial of SpecCheck Pro?
Yes! Every new office added to SpecCheck automatically gets a 14-day free trial of most Pro features. The trial starts at the office level, so any users added during that period will also have access. Users added after the trial ends will not see Pro features unless you upgrade that location. Click Upgrade to Pro on your dashboard to start your free trial.

7. How does the pricing work for multiple offices / locations?
