Why can't I find an order?

If you cannot find an order on your dashboard, this article can explain why.

Updated over a week ago

The most common reason why you may not be able to find an order in our dashboard is because the order was not submitted through SpecCheck’s order entry tool, which can lead to corrupted data. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Orders submitted via Live Chat, phone, or fax

  • Orders submitted via handwritten order forms

  • Orders submitted via VisionWeb, EyeFinity, etc.

Orders not submitted through SpecCheck’s order entry tool have the following limitations:

  • Potential Data Integrity Issues - SpecCheck cannot guarantee the integrity of orders not submitted through our platform. Orders submitted through other sources may have invalid Rx numbers or date or time stamps. Some insurance orders may also not be available if there are issues with the source data.

  • 6 Month Retention Period - SpecCheck does not show non-SpecCheck orders that are more than 6 months old. We do this to maintain data accuracy, keep the system running smoothly, and protect sensitive information. Orders submitted through SpecCheck are securely stored and accessible for 7 years, another advantage of sending your private-pay orders through us.

To take advantage of our 7 year retention policy, individual job invoices, one click redos and more, submit your orders through SpecCheck's order creation tool.
