Rep View lets labs limit which accounts a user can see. Once a lab user is designated as a sales rep, they only see the ECP accounts assigned to them. Sales reps are created and assigned entirely in SpecCheck, so there's nothing to set up in DVI. Setup takes two steps, and both must be done by an Administrator.
Step 1: Designate a Sales Rep
Go to Settings → Team & Roles.
For a new user, click Add User. For an existing user, click the "..." next to their name and select Edit User.
Under Roles & Permissions, select Standard User.
In the Sales Rep section, check Designate as Sales Rep.
Click Send Invite for a new user, or Save for an existing user.
This restricts the user's visibility to only their assigned accounts in SpecCheck. The option only applies to Standard Users, since Administrators see every account.
On the Team & Roles page, the Sales Rep column shows Yes for users designated as sales reps and No for everyone else.
Step 2: Assign Accounts to the Rep
Go to ECPs and open the account.
Select the Settings tab.
On the ECP's Settings tab, click the Sales Rep field (Assign sales rep), then search for and select the rep. The list shows users designated as sales reps. If no one has been designated yet, it shows "No items found."
The assignment saves automatically, and you'll see a confirmation that the sales rep was assigned.
Repeat these steps for each account the rep should see. Each account can have only one sales rep.
Once saved, the assigned rep appears in the account's header on the ECP Details page.
Important Notes
Sales reps are created and assigned entirely in SpecCheck.
Only Administrators can designate sales reps and assign accounts to them.
Users who aren't designated as sales reps, and all Administrators, see all accounts.
Once a user is designated as a sales rep, they only see the accounts assigned to them. Accounts not assigned to them are hidden from that user.
Each account can have only one sales rep.
To remove a user's sales rep designation, click the "..." next to their name on Settings → Team & Roles, select Edit User, uncheck Designate as Sales Rep, and click Save. The user can see all accounts again right away.
To remove a single account from a rep, open the Sales Rep field on that account's Settings tab and select Unassign. The change saves automatically.
